We rafted along the Medveditsa Tverskaya from the village of Gorodkovsky to the AD bridge of the village of Dolnitsy - 73 km

Actually, in 3 full walking days, without any obstacles, with some fluidity, I expected to go in mattress mode full route along the middle Medveditsa - 100 km - to the village of Upper Trinity. But since it was a hard-alloy alloy + inspection of several abandoned houses + additional purchases of provisions, it turned out to be only 73 km - on average, 24 km / day - yes, in general, and so it turned out quite rich;)

From Gorodkovsky Medveditsa is passable even in low water, to the mouth on the Volga only ~ 155 km, and from there, from Shatrishchi, you can call a taxi to the Savyolovo station or raft along the Volga for another 16 km, to the railway bridge at the Sknyatino station. After the Norbuzh and the mouth of the Bolshaya Puditsa, the Medveditsa floods heavily and becomes too wide and not so interesting for slow-moving inflatables. You can call a taxi to the station Savelovo from Norbuzhye (~135km) or from Neklyudovo (~145km - having risen to the AD bridge along Bolshaya Puditsa).
Below the Upper Trinity on the banks of the Bear, you can see a few more sights: basically, all the same abandoned temples, a huge stone "Death to wild tourists!" , below which the dam will have to be enclosed, and decorative? Abandoned? the village of Pekashino. The population, of course, is becoming more active, the abandoned ones are no longer so abandoned, or even completely restored, and there will be no problems with shops.

There is a mention of the passage of the upper reaches of the Medveditsa on Taimeny in late April - early May. From ur.Vysochka to Gorodkovsky - 113km. Transfer through Spirovo to Peschanitsa (4.5 km to Vysochka) or to Falino (3 km to Vysochka), or maybe you can get to the water by taxi. But I did not consider this site, although I may be going there someday.

We decided to start the hike a day earlier than the May 1 holidays - a good practice, there is much less fuss around and tickets are easier to get. We met in Tver, shopped at a supermarket near the bus station and... called a taxi to Gorodkovskoye. Of course, you can also take a bus, but in this case, this is not our option))

The village of Gorodkovsky from Tver can be reached by taxi and buses, following to Rameshki (on the way 2 hours 30 minutes), Bezhetsk and Maksatikha. Transfer by taxi cost 1400 rubles. To travel by bus, you need a passport. There is an open area next to the bridge over the river. In the willow bushes growing along the river bank, you can collect firewood for a fire.
Route description.
The initial section of the river from the starting point to the confluence of the left tributary of the Kushalka River, the length of the section is about 23 kilometers.
In the initial section, the channel of the Medveditsa goes in small loops. The width of the river varies from 9 to 15 meters. The water in the river is clear, with a brownish marsh tint. The depth of the river varies from 30 centimeters to one and a half meters, in places there are deeper sections. There are shallows, while in the middle of the river, where a sand deposit is formed, it is shallow, and deeper under the banks. Along the coast there are sandy beaches.
Sometimes at the bottom of the river come across ancient tree trunks partially covered with sand.

concrete slabs are lying under water. Below the construction of the dam in the riverbed there is a rapid and for 50 meters several rows of closely spaced old wooden piles stick out of the water.
One crew surrounded the area with piles along the left bank, and the other passed it on oars.
As a rule, a strip of willow bushes stretches along the low bank of the river, and sandy beaches come across. The other bank of the river, 3 to 6 meters high, can be covered with forest.
The forests are mixed, with dense undergrowth dominated by pine, birch and spruce. In pine forests, the undergrowth is often blueberries and raspberries. In some places there is oak, linden and maple. Sometimes there are also pine forests without dense undergrowth.
On open areas meadows are located on both banks of the river, where among the grass you can stumble upon thickets of field strawberries. There are places for parking on the upper stretch of the river, but often with a car entrance.
The middle section of the river from the confluence of the Kushalka and, approximately, to the village of Konstantinovo, the length of the section is about 60 kilometers.
In the middle reaches of the Medveditsa, it gradually expands from 15-20 to 30-35 meters. After the confluence of the left tributary of the Kushalka, the water in the river became muddy for 12-15 kilometers. Along the banks of the Kushalka, for several kilometers before its confluence with the Medveditsa, there are settlements and forest-free areas that may have cultivated fields in a continuous strip. Perhaps, due to fairly heavy rains that had passed shortly before our trip, soil was washed away from these fields into the river, and this made the water cloudy. Gradually, the water cleared up on algae, reeds and reeds, the turbidity settled on them in the form of a black coating, and after 15 kilometers the water in the river became transparent again.

On a stretch of about 40 kilometers, there are shoals and sandy rifts, which this time it was easy to pass without escorting ships. At the same time, it is most reliable to go under the banks, crossing the riverbed at turns.
In 1997, the riffles were much smaller and started upstream. Then, in the vicinity of the village of Medvedikh, we had to guide an empty kayak, walking straight along the riverbed in the smallest places. The average depth of the river in a dry summer in fairly long areas is kept at the level of 10-20 centimeters. Only under the coastline itself is the depth a little greater.
This time the riffles were located on the section from 52 to 90 kilometers of the route, and in the vicinity of Medvedikha the depth of the river did not decrease below half a meter. Perhaps, over the years, the river's fairway changes and shoals form in different places. In addition, much depends on the level of water in the river. In 1997, it was dry and there was no rain for a long time, so the water level in Medveditsa was low. This time before the trip there were quite heavy rains, and there was a lot of water in the river.

There were areas where the riverbed was heavily overgrown with reeds and reeds. At the same time, narrow channels with rapids formed among the reeds.
In the middle reaches of the Medveditsa, mixed forests grow along the banks with a predominance of pine and raspberry undergrowth, pine forests are usually young. The approach to the shores is limited by brambles, sliding almost to the water itself.
The middle course of the Medveditsa is characterized by long straight sections, on which the river winds a little, only occasionally writing out large loops. As a result, in this area sandy beaches little, and along the coast stretches a strip of algae and reeds, which, when coming ashore, turn into thickets of meadow grasses and willow bushes.
In those areas where forest grows along the banks of the river, it usually turns out to be separated from the water by a strip of dense thickets of grass about 10-20 meters wide.
good places for parking with convenient access to the shore is not much. And those that come across are usually located next to the country road that runs along the river bank. In the vicinity of villages, the banks of the river are often open and represent meadows.
In the meadows, meadow strawberries come across in the grass, in some places there are a lot of them. In July, with good solar warming in the late afternoon, abundant thickets of field strawberries can be identified by the strong smell of berries sliding down to the river.
In the area of ​​the confluence of the left tributary of the Ivica River, which we could not track, on the left bank, 100 meters from the water, the construction of three wooden towers (6-08 according to the pilot's guide) is sluggish. Their tops are visible from the water.

The towers, which look like log cabins without windows, are installed on a site that resembles an ancient settlement. At least, a bulk earthen rampart can be traced. It is strange that as the foundation on which these towers are installed, not stone masonry was used, but crookedly laid concrete blocks, which, at the same time, settle in different ways.

On the right bank of the Drezna River, 300 meters from its confluence with Medveditsa, there is also an old stone church. It is located in the forest next to the cemetery and is not visible from the Bear. In terms of architecture, it resembles a church in the village of Voloskovo, but is in a more ruined state, the vaulted ceiling has partially collapsed,

several large birch trees grow on its roof.
In the third section (from the village of Konstantinovo to the village of Upper Troitsa), the backwater of the Volga begins to be felt. The length of this section does not exceed 15-20 kilometers.
Below the village of Konstantinovo, the current weakens, only separate rapids and rifts remain, associated with the presence of dilapidated dams (13-54 and 14-37 according to the sailing directions).

In this section, the riverbed expands to 60-70 meters. The depth of the river is increasing.
Through the village of Upper Trinity, located on the right bank of the river, there is a highway connecting Tver with the cities of Kashin and Kalyazin. They pass through it several times a day. Shuttle Buses. To dismantle the ships, we stopped on the right bank of the Medveditsa, 100 meters before crossing the road bridge. Here, among the grass, there is a flat place for drying ships, if you wish, you can find some firewood among the coastal trees. From the place of dismantling of ships to bus stop walk about 400 meters. The bus stop in the village of Upper Trinity is located on the right bank of the Medveditsa on the highway, 150 meters before reaching the bridge.

The distance from Upper Trinity to Kashin is 31 km, from Upper Trinity to Kalyazin 48 km. From Kalyazin to Sergiev Posad 114 km. From the Upper Trinity on a passing bus, following the route Tver-Kalyazin, we drove to Kalyazin. From the bus stop in Upper Trinity, it leaves at about 13-40 (we could not find out the exact time of arrival of the bus at the stop). Bus arrival time in Kalyazin 14-50. When our bus arrived in Kalyazin, we saw a bus standing there and ready for departure, following the route Kalyazin-Sergiev Posad, departure 14-45 (ticket price 240 rubles). It should have been sent by now, but waited for our bus to arrive. We arrived in Sergiev Posad at about 17:00. We traveled from Sergiev Posad to Moscow by train.

Conclusions.
Compared to 1997, the river has changed a lot. The bottom of the river is sandy throughout, but sandy beaches and convenient places not enough to stop for the night. Now along coastline thickets of willow bushes and alder stretch on long stretches, the banks are heavily overgrown with grass, reeds and algae. There are few convenient ways out to the shore. Perhaps, towards the end of summer, the grass will be crushed, and there will be more landfalls.

In the initial section of the river, shallows were rare. After passing the first half of the route (in the section 52-90 km), sandy rifts appeared, and it was necessary to choose a certain line of movement along the riverbed in order to avoid falling into sandy shoals. Perhaps the location of the rifts has changed over the years. Where during the trip in 1997 we had to kayak, this time there were no shallows at all. But downstream they appeared. The water level in Medveditsa was summer, but high enough, so the passage of the riffles did not cause problems. In dry summers, when passing through sandy rifts, it may be necessary to guide kayaks.
On most of the route, the width of the river varies from 10 to 30 meters, the current is fast. Only in the last 10-15 kilometers, where the backwater of the Volga begins to be felt, the Medveditsa expands to 50-70 meters, and the current disappears.
Despite the fact that the river is quite narrow in the upper reaches, there was not a single blockage along the entire route. There was only one portage, the dams of the old hydroelectric power station (1-30 according to the sailing directions). The catamaran was surrounded along the left bank, and a narrower kayak passed along the passage between wooden piles sticking out above the water level.
There was not much garbage in the river, although there are enough settlements overlooking the river bank. Tourists with kayaks were not seen on the river, fishermen sometimes met, there were not many autotourists resting along the banks of the river. There are few places to park. Thickets of meadow strawberries are found along the meadow banks of the river, and blackberry bushes come across near the water. Raspberries and blueberries are found in places in the forests.
The route is quite convenient for getting off, but to leave it you have to spend a lot of time and leave the river early.

The bear is one of the most major rivers Tver region. It covers four of its districts at once, and is a left-bank tributary of the Volga. The reservoir flows into the Uglich water storage. The total length is 260 square kilometers, and the basin area is close to 5580 km2. At a distance of 41 kilometers from the riverbed, the river becomes navigable. It is noteworthy that it is even mentioned in rare ancient manuscripts. And its name is often associated not only with a well-known representative of the fauna, but also recall the meaning of the word "bear" according to Dahl - a pantry for honey. The river has always been widely used as a place for ecological tourism, namely for river rafting. And the beautiful coastal landscapes contribute to the organization of all types of country recreation.

It is known that in the period from 1951 to 1954 a hydroelectric power station was built on Medveditsa, which was named after the location area - Lesogorskaya. It has long been an indispensable source of energy for the region. But today it is no longer functioning, and there is a cafe on the territory of the former hydroelectric power station.

Peculiarities

The bear belongs to the system of the Caspian Sea. Starting near the village of Gorma, it adjoins the Uglich reservoir near Sknyatino. With an area of ​​about 6 thousand square kilometers, the water flow, which is usually measured near the village of Bolshie Setki, is about 26 cubic meters per year. The reservoir is covered with ice, mainly in late November - early December, and its opening occurs, as a rule, in the first half of April. The high water cannot be called long - it lasts no more than fifteen days.

The upper reaches are almost completely overgrown with forest and swampy. The bear is distinguished by a restless, winding channel, whose width varies between 10-15 meters, and the depth reaches two meters in places. In coastal zones there are many oxbow lakes filled with shallow channels, not uncommon - deep rifts. The main village points located downstream are Medvedikh and Trinity.

legends

There are several legends associated with the name of the reservoir, but the fact that this name is ancient is not in doubt. According to one version, bears lived on the river in ancient times, and another connects this word with a concept from Dahl's dictionary, which explains it as "a place to store honey." It is difficult to say for sure which version is more reliable. But the fact that the local fauna has always been full of species diversity is a fact. The only thing is that the bear habitat cannot be directly on the shores. There are not enough forest resources here for this. But when deepening for several kilometers from the coastal zone, there are all conditions for the residence of a large forest animal - a brown bear. The flora here is very diverse. It counts a large number of shrubs and herbs, some of which are included in the Red Book.

How to get there

The most convenient way to get to the river is to visit the village of Medvedikh, which is located just 46 kilometers from regional center- Tver, and has bus and rail links with it.

The small river Medveditsa in the Tver region is famous for its beautiful reserved places, silence and the mirror surface of the water.

On modern map Three rivers in Russia have the same name. Medveditsa of the Tver region, Medveditsa, flowing into the Don, flowing through the Saratov and Vologda regions and finally, the Kostroma Medveditsa.

There was also a Bear in the area of ​​present-day Yaroslavl, but she swam away, literally. Disappeared as a result of the urbanization of the 18th century - it prevented the inhabitants by making dampness in the basements, provoked cracks in the houses and in the end "tilted" the bell tower of the church, for which she was executed, she was simply covered up.

Maybe, having heard about the hooligan behavior and the sad fate of the namesake, the Tver Medveditsa bypassed the regional capital - more than 40 kilometers away. On its way there is not a single large settlement. Therefore, the water in the river is very clean.

origin of name

It is easy to guess about the history of the origin of the name. In the dense forests through which the river flows, there were brown bears. A bear with cubs was attracted by the opportunity to eat river fish, so the family went ashore.

The locals warned each other: "Bear!" Like, be careful. And so the name stuck to the generally harmless rivulet.

According to another version, the name was based on the phrase "to know honey". A similar interpretation of the word "bear" is in Dahl's dictionary.

And this option has the right to life. Clubfoot do not settle directly along the rivers, preferring the thicket. But the bees love floodplain flood meadows with cereal forbs. The name speaks for the second version "Medvedka" worn by an insect and a honey plant.

You can still taste local honey today. Most likely, you will not be able to meet a bear, but everyone who comes to visit the bear shores at least once will have the confidence that they live in the local virgin, mostly coniferous forests.

Wide and deep Bear River

The younger sister of the Volga, its left tributary, the Bear is not so small. It originates in dense swampy forests (near the village of Garma), flows through five districts of the Tver region (Spirovsky, Likhoslavl, Rameshkovsky, Kashinsky and Kimrsky) and flows into the Uglich reservoir, because of which it also suffered at one time.

After its launch, the river became 13 kilometers shorter. The channel dissolved in the waters of a pool artificially created in 1939-47, serving the power plant. Now the power plant is not operating - it has long been closed.

Now it is no longer possible to see the place where the Bear flows into the Volga. Today the length of the Bear is 259 kilometers. Which is relatively a lot. After all, the path of her namesake is from Kostroma region only 11 km.

In the upper reaches, the channel is winding, narrow - up to 15 meters from coast to coast and not deep - a maximum of 2 meters. In the middle reaches, the river is full of shoals, islets, fords and rapids, rapids, blockages, which are visible on satellite imagery. Such natural obstacles make the river interesting for sports water tourism. Several rafting routes along Medveditsa have been developed.

In the lower reaches, forty kilometers to the mouth, the river is already full-flowing, wide (up to 200 m), deep (from 5 to 11 m), navigation is carried out along it.

The main tributaries of the Bear:

  • Suseshnya, Tresna, Kushalka, Rudomosh, Bolshaya and Malaya Puditsa are on the right.
  • Selnitsa, Kamenka, Ivica, Drezna, Yakhroma are leftists.

They ensure the full flow of the Bear, affect the topography of its bottom and the course. The confluence of the tributary with the main channel is usually accompanied by rapids, rifts.

How to get there

The easiest way to Medveditsa: through Tver by bus in the direction of Rameshki to the village of Medvedikh (46km).

From Moscow, electric trains go in the direction of Kalyazin, Kimry or Kashin to a place pre-selected on the map, using a navigator, or to a booked hostel.

Known settlements along the river: Medvedikh, Upper and Lower Trinity, Podosenevo, Semenovskoe, Nikolskoe, Lovtsovo. The majority of fishermen and tourists are guided by them.

Approximate travel itinerary

The Medveditsa River is a popular object of water tourism in the Tver region. It is rafted on kayaks, kayaks, rafts. The rafting season runs from May to June. Then the river usually becomes very shallow, and it is impossible to raft down it.

One of the routes lasting 100 km starts in the village of Gordok, passes through the confluence of the Ivitsa and Drezna tributaries into the Medveditsa. It ends at the bridge near the village of Upper Trinity. From there, you can return to Tver by bus.

Having bypassed the Verkhne-Troitskaya dam, you can continue your journey and swim another 100 km to the Volga and finish in Kalyazin, then go back by train.

Continuing the path, one must take into account that the river becomes wider and calmer closer to the mouth. These places are chosen by fishermen, who often scurry along the river in motor boats, which can cause discomfort to kayakers and is simply dangerous.

Along the way will open scenic landscapes, steep banks and sandbanks, dilapidated and devoid of crosses, but still majestic churches. You will probably be lucky to see a couple of moose grazing peacefully in clearings with lush grass. In one such clearing, you can set up a camp and stay for the night.

Fishermen about fish

Fishing on Medveditsa is well known, especially among Moscow fishermen. Here, in a quiet province, they get out of the noisy bustle of the metropolis and, taking a fishing rod in their hands, forget about everything.

Bays overgrown with reeds, channels, islets and calm water create ideal conditions for feeding and breeding different types of fish. Roach, perch, rudd, pike peck well here.

In deep pits, behind rifts, along steep banks, there are ide, pike perch, bream, asp, pike, perch. In the bays, in warm shallow water, you can catch dace, tench, chub. In the spring, sabrefish enter the Medveditsa from the Volga in shoals.

Fishermen pull out 2-3 kilograms per day. And from the first freeze up the entire winter season to last ice the catch reaches 5 kg and more. For the July ten-day rafting, the Medveditsa River in the Tver region was chosen. We decided to go there and back by car, so as not to strain ourselves especially. I wanted to pick strawberries, find mushrooms, fish.

For all these purposes, the river suits amazingly. Of course, there are enough villages and villages, as well as people resting with cars along the banks, but summer is in full swing! Everyone rushes to the water. And on Medveditsa - a pine forest along the banks, a sandy bottom, shallows and beaches for swimming. Yes, and we only have something - 100 km for 10 days: recreational-strawberry rafting ...

On the advice of tourists who have visited Medveditsa more than once, it was decided to make the bridge over the Tver-Rameshki highway the beginning of the journey, starting the rafting from Gorodkovsky. At the same time, the car was left at the end point of the route - in the village of Verkhnyaya Troitsa, and we agreed with local drivers to take us to the water near the village. Gorodkovsky. True, they did not go to Medveditsa through Kashin, as the newly acquired Garmin stubbornly advised, but through Kimry. But on the way back - we drove in the direction of Kashin through Sergiev Posad along the Yaroslavl.

So, Tuesday, 3.07. The driver drove from the bridge straight to the river - on the left bank, upstream. Along the way, he suggested that we start from the village of Medvedikh, but we did not allow it - we miss the strawberry glades known from other stories, and the mileage is sharply reduced. And he is so small.

Bathing people all around! Hot! We also took a swim, had a snack, threw things into “germs”, inflated the “Canyon 2+”. Everything somehow quickly settled down, and we were on the water. We did not walk for long: villages on the right, on the left, again on the left ... It is still hot. We stood on the high right bank in the evening in the first pine forest we encountered between the villages of Koptino and Bereg on the right bank. The places there are all equipped for picnics for those who come by car. We avoid such places, but we were so tired during the day that we decided to stop for the night. True, they didn’t get up at the very beach - it was too “trodden” place. There is even a horizontal bar, "sports equipment" from tree trunks. We settled down on a high steep bank among pines.

Wednesday, 4.07. In the morning we didn’t manage to take a nap: a car drove by next to the tent and stopped 100 meters from us at the same beach with a table and shells. The driver urgently ran away to collect something with a basket. We had a quick breakfast, I looked around the forest - full of blueberries! They ate porridge with blueberries. We left early, at 9:30. The driver had just returned with his basket, and his alarm squealed in different voices. We slowly packed up, got into the boat, but he still could not get into the car, running in circles across the clearing on which we stood. He was looking for something, but did not ask for help. Maybe the locals do not turn to visitors for help?

Passed two dams. The first, with a stormy drain, passes along the stream to the left with little maneuver, since a certain wooden barrier lies across the river and the boat is pressed against it by the current. On the second dam - wiring. It's too long a boat to maneuver between two dozen piles randomly sticking out of the water. Very petty. There isn't much water at all. Although Alexei suddenly found himself waist-deep in water, guiding the boat. I lazily watched the process from the shore. It's hot, we swim for the second time. We look at the remains of the stone structure of the dam from the left bank (on the right bank).

Between these two dams, they began to establish spinning on the water. At this time, one might say, a fishing boat rushed past us (!) At full speed, on which a girl and an aged man were rafting. The girl asked if we tried to start rafting above Gorodkovsky. It would be tempting for us too, but we didn’t see easy access roads on the map ...

We stopped for lunch on the beach, and after lunch Alexei went upstairs to the field and unexpectedly brought a handful of red field strawberries for dessert. Marvelous! So far, we have only observed green on both high banks in the field. The forest that began on the right was examined for strawberries and mushrooms. Approximately opposite vil. Brooks. Some kind of stream there just flowed into the Bear. They ate strawberries to their heart's content, but they did not find any mushrooms. But then, almost immediately we caught a huge pike under 2 kg! Wow! On the very first day of the rafting - such luck. We struggled with this pike for a long time in order to pull it out - it hid in the seaweed under the boat and tried to leave. It's good that I have an experienced angler with me.

A spruce forest appeared on the right. A truck rumbles along the coast through the forest, and it would be time for us to go to the parking lot. The sun bakes, and it's time to cut the fish, cook it. A barn appeared on the left, the river turned to the right and a gorgeous view of the pine forest on the left bank opened up. No trucks were heard, we landed, stood at the end of the forest: a tent under an oak tree hugging a linden tree, a “kitchen” next to it in a pine forest - there was already an old fire pit. Fish soup and boiled fish were more than enough not only for dinner, but also for lunch the next day.

Thursday, 5.07. The sun is hot. Overcoming the heat, they loaded up and then constantly bathed - otherwise it was impossible to move. There are beautiful pine forests along the right bank, but everywhere there are country roads and approaches to the coast, especially where there are pine trees and beaches. We went out on the right - we ate blueberries, we went out on the left - nothing, then we went out again, climbed onto the high bank through the beach, and ... they smelled it! The pungent smell of ripe strawberries! It! That's why we came here! Now the main thing is not to crush, not to trample underfoot this carpet of red berries! Rare pines and bushes, between them - clearings of ripe strawberries. They rushed to pick berries and make jam. The long-forgotten taste of foams from strawberry jam ... Along the way, we decided to stay the next day - for a day. True, a UAZ passed two or three times in the woods behind the trees on the opposite bank, but we couldn't see it, we could only hear it. Late in the evening, when they went to bed, loud male voices were heard from the same shore: people called each other, got lost, obviously. They even fired a shotgun for persuasiveness. Then everyone seemed to find each other, and the car drove off.

Friday, 6.07. The strawberry harvest continued. On this hot day, this collection was already difficult for me: horseflies, mosquitoes, - there is nothing around the berry! Made the next batch of jam. Oh, how deliciously boiled strawberries smell! The sugar (4 kg) taken with us for jam was completely used up. Hooray! We ate wild strawberries. They even made a strawberry dessert with condensed milk.

Next - a bath, water procedures, laundry. The day turned out, fortunately, very warm, but overcast, which was important - the hot sun gave a respite to our burnt bodies. On this day, they tried to explore the forest further from the strawberry clearings - it turned out to be uninteresting: tall, human-sized grass, no mushrooms or not visible ... In the tent they watched the same film: jumping flies and mosquitoes are visible through the semicircle of the mosquito net, bigger and smaller … Alexei was filming some kind of video with these flies there, while in the forest you are already participating in this film as a victim.

Saturday, 7.07. This day was marked by a trip for a spoon. And it was like this: in the morning in the parking lot they ate strawberry jam with tea. I settled into a makeshift chair made of woven willow branches over a half-lying trunk. Immediately beautifully plugged the only spoon. But, of course, she was sure that she had washed it and put it in a bag for dishes. We went out, fishing this morning did not work out. Hot, lazy. Along the banks are vacationers and fishermen. We found a beach with tall bushes and got up for a snack. I needed a spoon. It was then that it turned out that my spoon was gone! Come back? Search? Where and how? In fact, we sailed quite a bit, about three kilometers, fishing. And the wind blew in our faces. We decided to go back light and find the ill-fated spoon. Unloaded and hid things near the beach in the bushes and tall grass. We rowed against the current - it's good that the wind now drove us in the back. They fought only with the current on the riffles. Everything flashed in reverse order: women washing fish; Pinery; resting on UAZ in the forest, who complained about horseflies ... Finally, our place. No spoon! They even dug through the sand on the beach, believing that I lost it there when I washed the dishes. Nowhere. OK. We did our best, haha. Finally, she walked around the place where the boat was lying, on the other side and accidentally ended up behind an improvised chair - from a different angle of view she saw her spoon, gracefully stuck between the branches. I immediately remembered everything. Yep, it happens...

We swam and quickly moved back. Light, but the wind now blows in the face. But what do we see?! Our beach, where we left our things, is already inhabited! Opposite, young fishermen clean the fish, aunts and children sunbathe on the adjacent beach. Before the eyes of the astonished public, they pulled out and loaded their things, sailed away.

Finally, on this day, we reached the bridge towards the village of Medvedikh. Around vacationers with tents, cars. Caught small pike. After the autobridge - a roll, again people with cars. Where to stay for the night? The "population" went again. Using the navigator and the map, we determined the greatest distance from all villages and roads, and approximately at this place we saw a forest on the right, and towards it - a sea of ​​grass and a tiny sandy slope. We made our way through the grass, and there it went through, a good path to the spruce forest. Ideal for an overnight stay.

In the evening, in the tent, they glued a torn “sandal” to me with “crazy hands”. It stuck together very securely, the shoes served until the end of the trip (at least).

Sunday, 8.06. Before the village of Medvedikh we caught two good pike and a large perch. Two villages, one "flows" into the other - Shibanikha and Medvedikha. At the junction of villages - a ruined church, revival, cars, a crossroads or a square, probably. And then there is the sign of the bus stop, turned towards the river. As if for sailing - but please take the bus! In vain we did not take advantage of the invitation to at least visit the store. I thought: there will be a store with bread even further. We walked another half a kilometer - the village is clearly ending. We asked the residents on the shore, they say that we have already sailed the store. Well, we decided to return, such a section of the river - we always return ... Now already loaded. The peasants jumped out of their gardens, grinning: “Downstream - seen many times, never against the stream!”; “If you need it in the Guinness Book of Records, I will sign it, call me!”. And all that joyful shouting. We didn’t reach the bus stop, we got up not far, and I went for bread.

The shop was very pretty from the outside. Signboard with huge blue letters in the form of bear paws: “BEAR. Shop". But ... alas, there was no bread, no vegetables ordered by Alexei, no dairy products. However, one can live without bread for a week, and there will be shops in other villages. I bought local Tver beer, and a couple of kilometers from the village we celebrated the middle of our trip: a salad of leftover vegetables, a noble fish soup, sherbet for tea ... We sat in wonderful little pine trees, hiding from the sun and from insects (for some reason). But then something unimaginable began: on a hot Sunday day, everyone poured ashore: children - to swim, adults - to swim, women - to eat chips in the water, men - to fish ... Huge companies celebrating children's birthdays in the water shouted to us: "Congratulations!"

Escaping from the heat, I arranged a gazebo out of a sheet in the boat, securing the middle with a cap, and taking the ends in my hands, waving them along with the oar. Alexey said that I became like a ghost. I didn't mind, wanting to look intimidating.

It was hard to get anywhere. We passed another road bridge to Ragosikha and Bludi, after which there was a roll, then an international camp of tourists with flags different countries over the tents. With the approach of the village of Bloody - again the smell of ripe strawberries or now strawberries, in front of the village itself - a field on which grannies are seen picking these strawberries, while grandfathers with fishing rods trade on the shore. Parking is very tight. The river makes a big turn behind the village, the navigator shows the road from Bludey along the river (which is not on the map), children are swimming around. The turn of the river ended, a small threshold appeared, the river left the village and the road to the right, and a magnificent pine forest opened up on the right bank. Having made their way from the beach through the bushes and grass upwards, they settled on a high bank near a wide fallen pine. Finally, the smell of pine forest! And no insects! You can sit on a high trunk ... We were very tired from the heat, although we covered no more than 20 km in a day.

Monday, 9.06. Lazy fees. Alexei scouted the forest - "mosquito net" with blueberries. But blueberries are only along the edge - further is a swamp.

We went out and dined with a traditional soup in front of Siblovo behind the transmission line in the pines. During lunch, the sky was covered with clouds for an hour, as if it was going to rain. But the heat has returned.

And yet the rain and thunderstorm overtook us in the evening. On this day we decided to have a REAL evening fishing before sunset. But then the houses of the Bykovo village suddenly appeared on the right. Under the bridge, we had a bite of bagels with tea, and I went to the village from the highway along the road. Hot. The store was on the left on the main road of the village, a kilometer from the bridge. My grandmother, whom I asked about the store and the purchase of village cottage cheese, sent me to her daughter-in-law for another kilometer through the village. True, she abandoned her urgent business and saw me off. So I heard the latest news: in Moscow - heat, in Tver - a thunderstorm, here - not a drop for five days.

However, I just brought them rain ... Having bought bread, cottage cheese and new granulated sugar for field strawberries, I went to the bridge. Having had a bite of rustic cottage cheese, we nevertheless went on this evening fishing trip. Not a single fish! There was no cool. But the storm was catching up. The sky darkened, the sun disappeared, thunder rolled. There is nothing to do - you need to urgently get up for the night.

They almost accidentally jumped onto the right bank, and then a huge “fancy” jeep drove up to the boat. To our amazement, an elegant lady in a bathing suit came out and began to look for a place to swim before a thunderstorm. A very fat man reluctantly accompanied her. From the gusts of wind, my cap flew off, the lady rushed to pick it up, and at that time the little bright boy told us how much he was afraid of thunderstorms. We did not stop rapidly unloading, methodically dragging things under the Christmas trees. The adults took a swim and offered to take all our belongings and us to the village of Bogunovo. Of course, we refused, but in any case it was nice to meet such participation.

We barely had time to put up the tent and put things under its wings when it started to rain. Fell asleep to the sound of rain.

Tuesday, 10.07. The rain has stopped, the weather is cloudy, it's damp all around, there are no insects. Beauty! For fishing it's perfect. And we went to fish. We caught pike, however, the biggest fish fell off. To the left, after the power line, we found clearings of finally ripe wild strawberries. Until now met mostly green. We went out, collected two liters - there is no sun, no bloodsuckers, it is comfortable to collect. We passed the village of Novoe, behind it the river flows down a hill, with several small rifts. On the right, a long strip of pine-birch forest opens, without approaches.

We went into a fairly large tributary of the Medveditsa - the Drezna River in search of a stop for lunch. Stuck in the cemetery in the forest on the left and returned. We walked along Medveditsa until a big turn to the right. There is a beach, higher up - a pine forest, a parking lot "for their own": firewood under a film, clean. On the beach they boiled fish, arranged a bath.

After the turn of the river on the left, the village of St. Grid, shattered wooden church, then - N. Grids, and then after the autobridge, the villages on the left went in a continuous succession: Nivishchi, St. and N. Gostinez, on the right - Starovo and Sergov. It's getting late, Alexey is trying to catch a BIG fish jumping cheekily in the water not far from the boat. To no avail. Between Starovo and Sergovo there are riffles one after another, the water makes a lot of noise. Fishermen on the evening bite are standing at the riffles, asking us for some reason: "To the Baltic?". We like such jokes, it's not like in St. Nets aunt asked us: "Where did you go?".

About half past ten in the evening we passed through all these villages and began to look for lodging for the night, preferably with a day. With us, after all, the collected berry! To the right after the village of Sergovo there are beaches with tables on the shore. It doesn't suit us. The left bank has almost no access to the water. Finally we went behind the island into the bay, climbed up to the pines. The exit is rather poor, but the place is magnificent, very beautiful. Behind the forest, a distant barking of a dog is heard - the village of Krasny Bor.

Wednesday, 11.07. The main question of the day: to spend a day here or not? Stay or follow on? I spent half a day thinking about this. We reworked field strawberries: tearing off green tails is painful, grinding with sugar is easier. Alexey cut down and trimmed a special crush for this. The main dish of the second half of the trip was cottage cheese with strawberries, and they ate with strawberries in different types: in the form of jam and natural, with condensed milk.

On the beach from the islet it was convenient to swim. And in the evening we obviously did not regret that we stayed in this relatively remote place for a day. We drink tea and hear how something VERY BIG plopped into the water. We've already jumped! And it was an elk that rushed to cross the river from the opposite bank. They seized the device, began to shoot a video, Alexey begged me to be silent and sit quietly. The elk obviously did not see us, although he looked around and listened all the time. He went out to our beach on the island, allegedly turned back, but he was just swimming. He came out of the water again, shook the water and again swam around the islet to reach our shore in the creek. When the elk's head appeared from behind the trunk of a pine tree, the feeling of delight and at the same time approaching danger intensified. The elk came close to the place where the inverted Canyon lay. And if he jumps on the bottom of the boat? Will the "skin" of his hooves hold up? Thinking about it, I loudly said: “Hello, moose!”. And then the moose heard me and saw us. He stood motionless for a few seconds, and then rushed headlong across the island and the river in the opposite direction. On the opposite bank, he stopped majestically again and looked back in our direction. There was clearly no chase! And the elk calmly retired into the forest.

After this adventure, Alexei went on an evening fishing trip from the island. Didn't take the fish bag. But then he caught an asp, then a pike. He threw these fish to me from the island. That evening they laughed a lot: “And in the evenings they throw fish!”

Thursday, 12.07. Just got out when it started to rain. At first the rain was quite warm. We were fishing. Very soon we met a large stationary camp on the right bank, with a children's swing, a kitchen, four tents ... The men fished a little further away and confirmed that a large chub, up to 4 kg, lives in the river.

After the turn of the river in front of Konstantinovo, instead of the road bridge indicated on the map, something in between a dam and the remains of a wooden bridge was found - a real threshold. We passed by the left channel, the landmark is a large boulder, which should be rounded on the left. They even tried to film our passage from the boat. But still I had to put down the apparatus and take the oar. Almost immediately after that, Alexey caught the first and only large (kilogram) chub in this campaign. It was prepared for frying for dinner. These big chub fried are very tasty!

The rain, meanwhile, was over, we stood on a sandy island to cook fish soup. Alexei went to the steep bank for pine firewood. The ear of their two pikes, perch and asp was great!

We sailed away and immediately heard voices from the "Pike" catching up with us. It turned out to be almost "neighbors" (from Lyubertsy). There were men from Rameshki - seven kilometers from the city you can stand on the water there. But they, it turns out, did not catch fish and did not collect strawberries. We were surprised to learn that there are big fish here. And in general, they complained about shallows and run-outs! But what are the implications here? It turned out that they were carrying around the threshold - the remains of a wooden bridge and a second dam at the beginning of the journey. After the conversation, "Pike" rushed off to the Volga, and we went out for "dessert" - to eat red field strawberries, which flooded all non-forest areas along the banks of the Medveditsa. We swam, cleaned the new caught pike and buried it in the pine forest visible in the distance after the village of Konstantinovo.

On the left, we saw new acquaintances - "neighbors" who got up for the night. We carefully watched the black cloud hanging over the river. It's time for us to urgently settle into the parking lot. We quickly “parked” on the left bank in a pine forest, somewhere between the Chernovka and Suchek rivers flowing into Medveditsa. We put up a tent, stuffed things, and then a real storm began: trees swayed menacingly, it poured rain, a thunderstorm swept all around. But we were going to celebrate the holiday of the first big chub and at the same time the end of the campaign!

But the holiday still took place. By half past eight the rain stopped, the sun came out, and the fish was successfully fried. Only in the morning I was awakened by a terrible “grinding” of a certain bird, as if down on the shore someone was sharpening a huge knife. Horror…

Friday, 13.07. After breakfast we had a swim on the beach on the opposite bank. We need to wash ourselves off - tomorrow we will return to Moscow. We got into the boat, and ... it started to rain! So we went in the rain, caught fish. Before Skornev, the entire right bank is filled with cars and tents. Friday! People came for the weekend. The rain intensified, we were soaked through and chilled so much that the water in the river seemed to be heated by a fire. At the same time - not a single bite.

We got out on the left bank as soon as the rain stopped pouring. The sun came out and we warmed up quickly. The meadow strawberries are in full swing. We ate ripe berries, swam, passed Skornevo. We were looking for a parking lot, but cottages appeared on the right bank - a new recreation center with a horse farm, not indicated on the map. I had to go back 500 meters to stand a little further away, in the pines, where we decided to rest before tomorrow's road, to dry out as much as possible. As soon as we put up the tent, as again - rain, thunderstorm. But it didn't matter anymore.

Saturday, 14.07. In the morning the sun shone brightly, it was warm. Motor boats were driving along the river all morning. We wanted to catch fish to bring home. There were no fish. Maybe the fish don't like the sound of boats? Motorboats were not seen before the village of Skornevo. But the nature of the river has changed. The bear became wide and deep, almost without current. In general, we did not catch fish that day.

It was easy to find a club in Upper Trinity, next to which one should disembark in order to load into the car. There were vacationers all around, boats, jet skis… We dried ourselves in the hot sun, had a snack, took our car and went to Moscow. Blueberries and chanterelles were sold all the way to Sergiev Posad.

The fusion turned out to be extremely successful. We fulfilled all our “tasks”: we brought home strawberry jam, field strawberries grated with sugar. The bear has confirmed its reputation as a "strawberry" river!
